PAMELA LOVE — Crying Eye Earrings

Apparently, the eye has seen enough.

PAMELA LOVE’s Crying Eye Earrings take a motif already prone to watching and give it an emotional life of its own. A stylized eye appears on each ear, rendered in 14k yellow gold-plated brass and accompanied by freshwater pearls that turn the familiar teardrop into something considerably more literal.

The pair is intentionally mismatched. One eye sits closer to the ear while the other composition extends behind it, sending teardrop forms downward on fine strands of freshwater rice pearls. The asymmetry means that the two earrings only quite make sense in relation to one another: an eye, its counterpart, and evidence that at least one of them has been moved by something. Pamela Love continues to use the crying eye across her current jewellery collections, although this earlier pearl interpretation is now an archived design.

SIZE & FIT

Designed as an intentionally mismatched pair with different proportions on each ear. The front element measures approximately 1.5 inches, while the longer rear element extends to approximately 2.5 inches. The pearl strands are designed to fall behind the ear, creating movement and emphasizing the asymmetrical construction.
