Things to Know

Note Bene

A collector’s reference: how objects travel, how they may be returned, and the queries most often put to The Procuress.

I.

Shipping & Delivery

From The Collection to you.

The Procuress ships throughout Canada and the United States, and welcomes enquiries from further afield.

Available delivery options and applicable charges will be confirmed before your purchase is completed.

Canada

Orders within Canada are shipped with tracking.

Shipping costs are determined according to the destination and delivery service selected and will be communicated before purchase.

Need something sooner? Expedited and, where possible, same-day dispatch may be arranged. Please enquire before purchasing if your order is time-sensitive.

United States

The Procuress ships throughout the United States with tracking.

Applicable shipping charges, along with any import or duty-related charges being arranged or prepaid by The Procuress, will be identified before payment.

Delivery estimates begin once an order has been dispatched and are provided in good faith. Customs processing and carrier delays may occasionally affect delivery times.

Further Afield

International enquiries are welcome.

If your destination is not currently available through the Site, please send along your location and the object you have in mind. The Procuress will confirm whether delivery can be arranged and provide the applicable shipping and import information before purchase.

In a Hurry?

Have somewhere to be?

Same-day dispatch and expedited delivery may be possible depending on the item, destination, and time of enquiry.

If you require an order by a particular date, please contact The Procuress before purchasing so that available options can be confirmed.

Local Pickup

For those nearby, local pickup in Toronto may be arranged by appointment.

Pickup details will be provided once an appointment has been confirmed.

Tracking & Delivery

Tracking information will be provided once your order has been dispatched.

Delivery estimates are just that—estimates. While The Procuress will always do what she reasonably can to help an object along its way, delays caused by carriers, customs, weather, holidays, or other circumstances beyond her control may occasionally occur.

Please ensure that your delivery address is complete and accurate before payment.

Duties & Import Charges

Orders crossing international borders may be subject to duties, taxes, customs charges, brokerage fees, or other import-related costs.

Where The Procuress arranges or prepays such charges on your behalf, the applicable amount will be identified as part of your purchase arrangement or invoice. Unless expressly stated otherwise before purchase, any import charges imposed by the destination country remain the responsibility of the customer.

II.

Returns

Sometimes an object isn’t quite right.

If you wish to return an eligible purchase, please contact The Procuress within 7 calendar days of confirmed delivery.

Once your return has been authorized, the item must be shipped back within 5 business days using a tracked delivery service.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return results from an error by The Procuress or the item was materially misdescribed.

Your Return

Eligible returns may be resolved in one of two ways:

Store Credit

Receive the full merchandise purchase price as store credit.

Refund

Receive a refund to your original payment method, less a 20% restocking fee calculated on the merchandise purchase price.

Original shipping charges, where separately charged, are non-refundable.

Return Condition

Returned merchandise must be received in the same condition in which it was sold: new, unworn, unwashed, and unaltered, with any supplied tags, packaging, accessories, or other components included.

Items showing evidence of wear, use, alteration, washing, damage, or removal of supplied components may not be eligible for return.

Final Sale

Items expressly identified as Final Sale before purchase are not eligible for return except where required by applicable law.

The 20% restocking fee does not apply where The Procuress sent the wrong item, materially misdescribed an item, or is otherwise responsible for the return.

Nothing in this policy limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.

Frequently Asked Queries

Put plainly, and answered plainly.

Objects & Authenticity

Are the objects authentic?
Yes. Every object in The Collection is guaranteed authentic. Objects are sourced through established suppliers, distributors, and secondary-market channels, and each is examined by The Procuress before it is offered.
Are objects new?
Unless expressly described otherwise, objects are new and unworn, and are supplied with their original tags and packaging where these were provided.
Where do the objects come from?
From a proprietary sourcing network cultivated over years: suppliers, distributors, and secondary-market channels, both here and abroad. The particulars of where she finds everything remain, necessarily, her own.
Is The Procuress affiliated with the brands she carries?
No. The Procuress is an independent purveyor and is not an authorized retailer of, affiliated with, or endorsed by any brand represented in The Collection. All trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

Pricing & Purchasing

How is pricing determined?
Pricing reflects the object itself: brand, condition, rarity, provenance, and what it cost to bring it within reach. Prices are shown in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable taxes, shipping, and any import charges unless expressly stated.
Are offers considered?
Reasonable offers are welcome on eligible objects and will be considered on their merits. Objects identified as Final Sale or firmly priced are not open to negotiation.
What is a Request to Purchase?
Because objects are held in limited quantity and are sometimes shown privately as well as on the Site, a purchase begins as a request. The Procuress confirms availability, delivery options, and applicable charges, and the arrangement is completed from there.
What are Objects of Desire?
A private list of the objects you are keeping an eye on. Adding an object does not reserve it—availability is confirmed at the time of enquiry.
How is availability confirmed?
Directly, and before payment. If an object has been placed elsewhere in the interval, you will be told promptly and, where possible, offered something comparable.

Delivery

Do you ship to the United States?
Yes—throughout the United States, with tracking. Applicable shipping charges, and any import or duty-related charges arranged or prepaid by The Procuress, are identified before payment.
Do you ship internationally?
International enquiries are welcome. Send along your location and the object you have in mind, and The Procuress will confirm whether delivery can be arranged, together with the applicable shipping and import information.
Can an order arrive sooner?
Sometimes. Expedited delivery and, where possible, same-day dispatch may be arranged depending on the object, the destination, and the time of enquiry. Please enquire before purchasing if your order is time-sensitive.
Is local pickup available?
For those nearby, local pickup in Toronto may be arranged by appointment. Details are provided once an appointment has been confirmed.

The Particulars

Can The Procuress find something for me?
Sourcing requests are welcome, and are among her favourite correspondence. Send the object, the size, and any particulars that matter; she will tell you honestly whether it can be found.
What if I am unsure about fit?
Write before purchasing. Measurements, sizing notes, and a candid opinion on how a piece is cut are available on request.
May I write to The Procuress directly?
Always. Enquiries reach her directly, and she answers them herself.

A procuress must be allowed some secrets.
