LELE SADOUGHI returns to an ancient piece of visual insurance and gives it considerably more polish. Suspended from a substantial gold-plated chain, a handmade glass evil eye peers outward in concentric rings of blue, white and black, framed within a gleaming gold-plated bezel.

The bracelet itself is deliberately simple: broad oval links circle the wrist before meeting at a toggle closure, leaving the solitary glass eye to hang freely beneath. At seven and a half inches long, it has the proportions of a traditional charm bracelet, but with only one charm—and perhaps only one is necessary when it is keeping watch.

One is certainly enough.
