KURT GEIGER LONDON’s Maddison turns the jelly sandal into something considerably more decorative. Five semi-transparent straps sweep across the foot in graduated rainbow tones, their glossy translucence set against an ombré, pebble-textured footbed.

The slip-on mule remains deliberately simple in construction, with an open rounded toe and flat profile leaving the colour to provide most of the spectacle. Then there is the heel: low enough to be almost incidental, but set with pink crystals nonetheless—a small piece of jewellery tucked beneath an otherwise playful summer sandal.

Even the rainbow has a little jewellery on.
