KURT GEIGER LONDON’s Mini Bow Eyelet Sandal begins with familiar ingredients: black suede, a high heel, slender straps and a little bow poised over the toe. Then someone gets to work with the hardware.

Scalloped leather straps are punctured and embellished with eyelets, faux pearls and a disorderly assortment of antiqued silver and brass studs, allowing something conventionally pretty to acquire a slightly tougher disposition. A buckled ankle strap holds the arrangement in place above a slim 3.5-inch heel. The bow survives, although not entirely unscathed.
