CHANEL takes the severity of a black square frame and interrupts it at precisely the right place. Cut from substantial black acetate, the 5482H sunglasses surround polarized grey gradient lenses with a broad, sharply defined silhouette.

At either temple, the otherwise restrained frame gives way to light-gold CC hardware and a single glass pearl, turning the hinge itself into ornament. The embellishment remains visible from the front but becomes more pronounced in profile, sitting somewhere between jewellery and hardware.
