MIU MIU — A51S Rimless Sunglasses, Bronze

A frame, without much of a frame.

MIU MIU reduces the architecture of eyewear almost to its component parts with the A51S. Oversized rectangular lenses in mirrored bronze appear virtually suspended from an ultra-fine gold-tone metal structure, dispensing with a conventional frame front altogether.

The lenses stretch wide across the face before meeting slender temples, where the otherwise minimal construction is interrupted by MIU MIU’s vertical logo. Adjustable nose pads and delicate metal hardware complete a silhouette that is simultaneously oversized and barely there.

Quite a lot of spectacle for very little frame.
