MISHA’s Plundge Dress takes a long, lean evening silhouette and covers it in gunmetal sequins, trading the conventional brightness of silver for something darker and rather more mercurial. The surface catches the light continuously, but its smoky metallic colour keeps all that sparkle from becoming particularly sweet.

Then there is the neckline. Plunging dramatically through the front of an otherwise streamlined, floor-length silhouette, it provides the dress with its principal piece of punctuation. The rest is allowed to fall close to the body, leaving the sequins—and a considerable amount of décolletage—to make the argument.
