SIMONE ROCHA takes one of nature’s most elementary forms and gives it a rather improbable second occupation. Moulded from rigid black Perspex, the Egg Clutch replaces the familiar architecture of an evening bag with a smooth, glossy ovoid shell.

A hinged opening reveals tonal woven expansion panels and a dark-lined interior, allowing the seemingly solid object to open just enough to accommodate its contents. A detachable wristlet provides the practical concession, while an engraved logo and restrained silver-tone hardware leave the peculiar silhouette largely uninterrupted.

Part bag, part objet. Entirely egg.
